Information Kiosk

A kiosk to direct and inform visitor at IZONE Southern Business Hub. This was designed to be both a functional and sculptural structure by servicing and directing guests to the sub-division as well as being an eye-catching form which mimicked elements of both IZONE and the wider context.

The vertical cedar wall has a form that has been used at the gateways into IZONE and at numerous other public sites around the subdivision. The concrete seats are made to welcome users to spend more time at the site. Exposed aggregate inlay represents the sinewy form of the Waimakariri River which is another element commonly seen throughout the development as a whole.

The materials used were cedar, concrete and aluminium panel. The cedar provides a warm welcoming front while the aluminium panel and concrete are crisp clean low maintenance materials.
